At the moment i use WinUAE to emulate the Amiga and i`ve got to say
i`ve been more than happy with it`s performance overall, just recently
i`ve been considering going down the Amithlon/AmigaOS XL route.
For those not in the know Amithlon/AmigaOS XL was a product developed
by Haage & Partner to be able to install and run the Amiga operating
system on modern day PC`s.
I wondered if anyone has gone down this very same route so they could
tell me if it`s worth dropping WinUAE in favour of AmigaOS XL.
I have everything i need to install, QNX & AmigaOS XL CD but it requires
a seperate partion and the only one i have available is the one with Windows
on it so i`d have to back that up first, can`t be bothered though if it`s
not worth it. Please Help. |

If my memory serves me correct they still sell AmigaOne over @ www.amigakit.com they sell alot of stuff Amiga related but it is rather pricey and as far as i`m aware (it`s the only place i know of) it`s the only place that does sell hardware for Amiga |

@Brad
I just been reading up about installing Amithlon and it looks like
real hardwork but i`m prepared to give it a go,if i get it up and
running i`ll send you some screen shots.
My main problem @ the mo is trying to backup my Vendor Recovery
partition,since i don`t have a recovery CD if anything goes wrong it`s
going to be one h*ll of a risk...downside to supplier not giving you a
genuine Windows CD
I don`t fancy having to download a cracked version of windows
just incase anything goes pete tong, once i find the info on the net
so i can use the partition or the vendor sends me a recovery CD
it`s all systems GO! |
