i think it might be web bot, or it could just be actual people doing it.
its getting worse each day, this past week alone i have had to delete about 60 or 70 people
im going to have to find something to stop it, but what?
if worse comes to worse, im going to have to make it that i activate peoples accounts (so they cant post anything untill i activate it)
actually, im going to set that up now, untill i find another solution. |

Good idea Brad! Might also be worthwhile checking out their webpages as well but Im inclined to agree that its a sophisticated bot being used.

You will have to watch it though as many bots these days actually skip the confirmation sequence and directly access the database to sign up. You have to keep the forum up to date all the time. I found a friend who is a PHP guru and he rigged the forum himself to stop spammers on mine. I had exactly the same issue as you and fought it for over a year. I found sometimes changing the names of certain forums helped. Have you noticed that basically the spammers are only attacking one single forum? _________________ Visit http://www.sickindividual.com |

Yeah I haven't' been a part of this forum for very long but those distasteful pages that get posted are pretty annoying. Those auto-post bots happen alot on myspace and facebook trying to advertise free stuff and they'll never get rid of them unfortunately. |

Yeah the same on Lemon64 they only attack the off topic posts, and lets face it what they are peddling is mostly ,pretty OFF
Maybe we should make our own bots that post Retro spam on their sites
Ah Revenge how sweet it would be

well ive made it so that i activate each new persons account, this means that they can still sign up, but they cant post anything - so its a step in the right direction! |
