Hi guys, just wondering if anyone knows where or if anyone sells a Cusb convertor to conect your C64/Atari joystick to a pc?
Cheers

The only ones that I have seen are where people have designed a circuit using a microcontroller. The microcontroller is programmed to convert the retro gamepad input into USB.
how handy are you with a soldering iron? |

Ike, I havent seen what you ask for but I can play my PC versions of C64 games or similar with the logitech precision joypad (its USB) that Brad sent me some time back, its brilliant, I can use it with 98% of games I want to use the joypad with,I have a personal dislike for keyboard control in a game, like you I much prefer to use a joystick iin most of my retro games.
However on my consoles, Im happy to use their joypads, do I have a choice?? Most console games would leave you wanting for the extra buttons and of coz the extra things you can do in the game. Apart from their actual connections to their respective consoles
There are joysticks out there that work almost 100%, I will get back to you on this, just have to do some googling and C64 site searching......
And this would be the least expensive way to go I think...........I'll get back _________________ http://noname.c64.org/csdb/scener/?id=1971 |
