We'll Christmas has come (and gone)
I hope everyone had a fantastic day and got to spend time with all the people that really matter in your life!
I went to the shopping centre at about 8am on Christmas eve and it was CRAZY! there were soo many people grabbing whatever they could to make sure everyone had a present. Isn't it funny what Christmas has become.
People seem to miss the point completely, Everyone is soo busy buying gifts that people will unwrap and forget about, and they totaly miss the most important Christmas gift of all! and that gift if Jesus coming to earth so that we may know him and be saved.
Have a happy Christmas guys and a fantastic new year! |

I think its very important that we all remember what Christmas stands for, its not just alll about the booze , babes and the BBQs..............
Thers a spirutual meaning that affects all of us in some way, yes even agnostics
It really saddens me when I think that 20 years ago Australias worst ever highway accident happpened 20 Clicks south of me,at Clybucca, 2 buses collided head-on and many people died. And although it was acknowledged at the time by a politician who stated that the Pacific Highway needed to become a dual carriege way, 20 years down the track it stilll hasnt happened. I live in this area,I drove taxis in Melbourne for a decde back in the 70s and I regard my section of the Pacific Highway as one of the most dangerous roads I have ever encountered anddriven on.
Of coz I have absolutely no idea whatsoever what this has to do with the original posting, except for the fact that Brad said GOD BLESS YOU ALL which jusr reminded me of what Christmas is all about .We celebraate the birth of a saviour (ours ) _________________ http://noname.c64.org/csdb/scener/?id=1971 |

very nice tomz, very nice.
Yep, Christmas is all about lots of things really, lots of things that we all have made up. trees and decorations, fat men in red suits, over filled car parks and shopping malls. ridiculous shopping lines.
I really don't know where everybody stands as far as belief or faith but Christmas is about the birth of our Savior - Jesus. Whats all this about then?
Well, when God created the earth it was perfect and without sin. Then Adam and Eve first sinned (due to free will) this then seperated us from God because Sin cannot dwell where He is.
So in the thousands of years before Jesus was born, people would get forgiveness of sin through sacrifice (normally an animal - quite often a lamb).
You see the Bible states that the punishment of sin is eternal death (ultimately this means hell) people would offer a sacrifice to God to 'pay' for their sin.
Jesus came to die for us and to be the payment for our sins. He died so that we don't have to suffer eternal death.
I guess the question is - "what do you believe?"
I have been doing a bit of research into evolution lately and man, in my opinion, you have to have ALOT more faith to believe that we were some accident rather than a well thought out plan and then created.
Have a think this Christmas - what do you believe? |
