If you were to sell them as a 'lot' on ebay - i think you' be lucky to get $1,000

but to sell them individualy i wouldnt be surprised if you got at least $2,000 - $3,000.

that's based on me taking a stab in the dark of the average price of all the games.

PS - thats a great collection of boxed SNES games (don't sell them!)

Don't worry, I refuse to part with them for anything less than 4k.

I'm sure they will be worth exponentially more in years to come too...

here are some pics for you

Very good!

I hate to see people sell a great collection of games.

Just to put things into perspective - I have insured my collection for $30,000

and each year that amount goes up! So think of your retro games collection as an investment.

Just think - in a few years time, we wont see all the retro games on ebay like we do today, because all the collectors out there will have bought them all - or people will have just thrown there old systems into the bin.

So imagine how much games will be worth when they really are RARE and HARD TO COME BY....

That's a nice looking collection - I could use a few of your NES boxes though Razz Still after around 30-40 PAL Australian release boxes Wink

Sorry for the late reply.

Insurance is just included in our home and contents insurance which is about $500 a year. But i guess just for the video games would be maybe upto $100 a year?

But how would you ever replace a retro games collection? it's not like you can get new for old????

True, which is all the more reason somebody should consider a business similar to one that exists in the States with baseball cards. I'll try and find a link, but an 'experienced panel' of experts grade and then seal rare collector cards, which gives them a reasonably exact indication of value.

Insurance problem = covered
