It's a adapter that plugs into your tape port in the c64 and you can run c64 roms off a sd card. Have one on order from http://jderogee.tripod.com/project1541.htm
The guy that created it is Jan Derogee, his a real nice guy and always answers questions. this Dutch man is a genius!!! |

Yeah, theres no problem with posting links like that, anything retro game related is fine (we'll basically you can post a link to anything as long as it's not * or * etc...)
maybe you could put it in the nintendo or megadrive forums? |

Unfortunately JENS has no immediate plans for making any more in the near future and Protovision are only agents they dont actually make any hardware according to MacGuyver even though I know for a fact that Doc of Desire makes up PSU and X*1541 cables for them. Which means that Ike is a very fortunate person to be getting one as he is one of the current few........(possibly last??)
I hope Jens will make up some more as this is one of the few out of many add-ons for the C64 today that I would even be willing to buy, and I have a firm beleif of getting things for free (ie.Hand me downs... thnx)

No its not the joystick device, you are thinking of the C64DTV which was the C64 chip inside a joystick with 20-30 games already installed and ready to be plugged into your TV heres a link for that below for that one
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C64_Direct-to-TV
What I was refering to is much the same of what you were trying to get hold of, its a cart with an SD card which allows for easy transference of C64 prgs between C64 and PC, it eliminates the need to use a cable that physically joins a 1541 to a PC.
Ive asked Brad if it would be possible for him to make a few up, I would buy 2 at least as it would make it so easy to download a game from the net and be actually playing it on my C64 (the real one with my fave joystick-something I dont have on my PC) in a matter of minutes without having to run 2 different transfer/converter programs on 2 different machines, it makes it hassle free .
How many would you buy? Bearing in mind that the 2 from Eroupe are both around 50 erous each plus postage whereas if Brad could could make them up with something comprable in the area of price ,the o/s postage is eliminated straight away it makes it cheap, and who knows if news got around some of the Erou boys would be buying them also.......... i wish I wish I wish I wish

Brad I realise that these last few weeks up to X-Mas are busy ones for you but if you could look further into the SD card for C64 project, maybe in the holidays, it would be really appreciated, and as I mentioned before you would have little trouble in selling them as they are in demand and mighty useful as well
