With elections looming here in Australia the country is once again divided (if only for a few weeks) But the serious question of which polly is going to run the country in the future exists, which way do you think it will end.

I think I agree Greg! ,That ''Metro-*'' comment craks me up.
I came from a blue-ribbon home, but I did put Goff in/out and helped in putting Hawke in, since those days I have been the typical swinging voter, I look at how it affects me personally, and today sadly even though Mr. Howard keeps reassuring us how well the economy and the countrty is going, the bottom line is when I go to the shop for food or fill my car up with petrol, and lets face it, we used to be the 3rd best country in the world (standard of living wise) but in the last decade have dropped down to 8th or 9th.
I try to keep an open mind even to the point of taking into consideration how the rest of the world is doing but it still comes back to how it effects me and my family on a personal level. All indications do point to a Labor Government for 2008 onwards.

P- One thing that has always amazed me is that in our 2 party prefered system,Labor is the only party in Australia that could always govern on its very own. The only way the others can get to govern is by forming a coalition, odd aye???? |
